How does a second GPU double frame rates with DLSS?
A new mod for Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology allows a user to offload the neural network processing to a second graphics card. This technique, demonstrated by a user on a system with two RTX 3060 Ti GPUs, effectively doubles frame rates in supported games by dedicating one GPU to rendering the game's visuals and the other to the computationally intensive DLSS upscaling process. This approach mimics the historical use of dedicated PhysX cards, which handled physics calculations separately to improve game performance.
