'I don’t intend to jump with them': Democrat exits party as socialists gain influence
Long-time Democrat Julian Epstein announced in an op-ed in the New York Post that he is supporting Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan's Senate race against progressive candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Epstein, who previously served as chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee and worked on Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, stated his departure is a signal for other Democrats who feel the party has "gone too far left" and "lost its moral center." He cited a lack of room in the party for those who "want to destroy our constitution" or align with "radical Islam" and "antisemitism."
